Ok, since now almost every where in the US has 87 octane that's at least E10 it's almost expected everywhere. Well a local gas station has regular 87 at $3.58 or $3.51 for members, now this is E10 like usual. There are E0 (E-Free) 91 octane for like $3.98. Well I just found tonight that they put in two new pumps that had blue pumps that were 87 but ETHANOL FREE! I was glad to see they have E0 pumps now. Only thing is that it's $3.88. Typically not an issue but why do they have it around $0.30 more expensive for gas that won't ruin your engine? It confused me.
Well at least I know what I'm going to put in what ever car I end up buying.

Why is "pure" 87 more than E10 87? Probably because it's not the same product :)

Well still why such the large gap? It's $0.10 less that Premium 91.

Gas is more expensive than ethanol. Think of ethanol as the air in the Lays chip bags.

My '98 Ninja had the needle seats in the carbs and the seam sealant in the tank fucked up by over-ethanolated fuel (the shop figured it was E20-E30 instead of E10 like it was supposed to be).
Cars are more forgiving to that shit, but when I get a bike again it's getting ethanol-free gas - even if I have to run premium.

That's my point.

Cut the gasoline with ethanol. Not the same as 100% gasoline.
